EBB...........

The "yard bike" will have options for SS or geared. I'll be using an EBB to do this......so here are a few of the details in picture.

Alex #2........

Going to attempt to build a yard bike for the kid.............he's ten now and thinks he wants to do a few log runs. My objective will be to build a short wheel based bike with a 20" wheel in the back and a 24" up front........the tubing will be the Columbus Life stuff that was passed on to me. It will be burly enough to handle any size rider.

I get by with a little help........

from my friends. Mr. Pisgah Pro. hooked me up with a tube-set today. Some forgotten tubing from a forgotten builder........some big fat "vintage" Columbus Life tubing. So this frame is destined for some burly yard riding. Built for a ten year old to play on logs and jump a few gaps.

Best kept secret............

There is a trail out in eastern NC that is so sweet, you'd think you where on a roller coaster for mountain bikes.............The Bike Post Trail outside of Greenville, NC is a pleasant surprise.

All is well in BC..........

My absoulute favorite time of year, FINALLY made it to Greenslick after about a year. Head to head Smokes at the top.

Gears?

Converted this bike to a geared version of it's former self.................I'm STILL slow.......So this bike was originally built fixed, then I brazed brake bosses on it to make it a SS, then I made it fixed again, then SS, now it's geared.........what next? Maybe an 80cc motor conversion........I bet I'd still be slow.

Just hangin................

After all that rain we had...........a perfect 60 degrees and sunny. Life is good.

Something different............

It's still in my head but I think this will be good.........a custom stem for running drop bars on a 29'r mountain bike for a very fast "core" rider.

Fluxed up................

Chopped off both drop outs.....measured it up with a handy guage.....cleaned and fluxed.....set it up in the jig nice and straight.....time for fire!

Waste not...........

Friend of mine pulled this out of the dumpster...........55cm steel road frames never die.

When we grow up.........

we want a big wheel.
